The Company

One Week Last Summer was formally founded by Kate Butler in Stockport UK in 2023 working exclusively with a specially developed, genuine post-consumer waste paper concrete.

Paper pulping, concrete mixing and vessel forming are all done by hand in the OWLS central Stockport studio. As little white Portland cement as possible is used without compromising on strength and longevity. To further reduce the tiny amounts of cement used, OWLS now substitutes in heritage quality lime wherever possible.

Each piece is allowed optimum time to cure and dry before decoration with eco-friendly lime paint.

One Week Last Summer is committed to minimising its impact on the environment, maintaining the shortest possible supply chains, sourcing raw materials from local independent traders and working towards its zero waste goal.
